Sindhi food consists of the richness and aromas of spices and ghee and exotic masalas. Sindhi food is high on calories and fats, they are a health conscious lot like most. Sindhi's are equally fond of sweets their favourite gulab jamoons (refer sweets category).

Seero Malpuro |Traditional Sindhi Recipe

Traditionally, Malpua is a sweet made from All purpose flour mixed with reduced milk (Milk of very thick consistency), and mawa/khoya. The batter is then fried as pancakes in batches, dunked in sugar syrup and served with either Rabri or curd/yogurt. Some prefer it with milk, while Sindhis generally serve it with ‘ Sooji jo seero‘ or semolina halwa, which is again made from semolina, milk, sugar syrup etc

Koki

Koki is a traditional Sindhi breakfast. Koki is made of whole wheat flatbread flavored with onions, cilantro and spices. It is savory pastry that’s been cooked on the iron pan (tava).

Toor Ki Dal

Toor Ki Dal also spelled as Tuvar ki Dal  in this section is made in Sindhi Style. This is the traditional Sindhi recipe for this curry. This is a very flavorful and tasty lentil curry. One can have a bowl of this on a cold winter night as a soup all by itself!

Dal Pakwan (Pakkan) - The most famous Typical, Authentic Sindhi dish. This dish is deep fried maida puris (pakwan) which are flavored with salt and Shahi Jeera (Black cumin). This puris (pakwan) go well with Chana Dal. Dal is topped with coriander chutney and/or tamarind chutney, and/or chopped onions

Sindhi Curry

Sindhi Curry is popular dish for Sindhi and is cooked most of Sindhi families. Mainly there are 2 kinds of Sindhi curries, one the main ingredient is Tomatoes and the second is Toar dal and Tomatoes. When making Sindhi curry, people add different vegetables to the curry, however the common ones are Guvar, Bhindi and Drumsticks. Carrots, potatoes and paneer are optional.
