Like India, Indian Recipes is varied and distinct. In India, recipes are handed from mother to daughter, from generation to generation. However, nowadays there are various good books on recipe and yes websites too.

Indian cooking has many different styles throughout all of India. There is many different styles of Indian recipes. If anyone one who has traveled to India that person can find that the food prepared at home and restaurants in that area will be different in each area there will be some similarities but it will also be very different from place to place.

Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji - पाव भाजी, Originated in Marathi cuisine and is a fast food dish, this dish is native to Maharashtra. Pav means a small loaf of bread and Bhaji means vegetable dish. Pav bhaji consists of bhaji (a thick potato-based curry) garnished with coriander, chopped onion and a dash of lemon and baked pav. The pav is usually fully buttered.

This is an authentic Bengali cuisine served typically with plain white rice / fried rice / pulao. This delicious and savory dish is absolutely one of my favorites. . I fondly remember my college days ,whenever I visited home,  my mom used to prepare this dish every time specially for me :-) Rohu Fish is typically used in this dish, but any white fleshed fish like cat fish or tilapia also works great.
