Samsung to launch Google TV powered TV sets

Today Samsung Electronics Co has nearly finished cutting a deal with Google Inc. to launch its Television sets powered by Google TV software to power its TV sets, reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Samsung already has Smart TV apps which are downloaded more than 50,000 on daily basis and looks like a strange move.

Google TV is installed in certain Sony TV models and Logitech International set-top boxes allowing uses to access online videos, websites and use apps from market place.

Samsung has not declared when it will unveil the Google TV powered TV sets, however competitor LG will proclaim its Google TV powered sets at CES in Las Vegas coming January, reported by the WSJ reports.
