Champions League Twenty20 is the platform for the best teams in the world. This team will compete for a US$6,000,000 prize. Champions will play against Champions to achieve the goal.
Champions League Twenty20 starts on December 3 and is an initiative of three founding member boards; the BCCI, Cricket Australia, and Cricket South Africa. Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai are the location where the inaugural edition will be played.
The eight competing teams contains the champions and runner-up from Twenty20 competitions played in the founding board countries, it also has champions of England and Pakistan. The plan for 2009 is to increase the number of teams to twelve.
